Why I started The Comeback Stack

44 in Guadalajara, tired of guessing about my own body, and building the record I couldn't find when I went looking.

I'm 44. A couple of years ago I sold a business, closed another, and moved from Salt Lake City to Guadalajara. Somewhere in there I stopped paying attention to my body the way I used to. Sleep got worse. Training slid. I told myself it was just being a founder — and then I noticed I was telling myself that at 44 for exactly the same reasons I'd been telling myself it at 34.

The thing I couldn't find when I went looking: a guy roughly my age, not selling anything, showing his real labs, running peptides responsibly, telling you what worked and what didn't without dressing it up. Every account I found was either a fitness creator with a compensated affiliate stack, or a doctor who never actually shared their own numbers.

So this is that record. Weekly, for as long as it takes.

What lives here

  • Bloodwork — every panel I pull, unedited. Started August 21, 2026.
  • Protocols — what I'm running, when I started, when I stopped, why. Posts land after the second draw.
  • Journal — the weekly writing that ties the two together.
  • Newsletter — one dispatch a week. The specific peptides I'm running and where I actually get them live in that inbox — that's the only place I recommend a vendor.

What doesn't live here

  • Compensated affiliate stacks. I use one vendor — Egida — and they're a client of my agency, but I'm not paid per referral. Full disclosure lives on the About page.
  • Dosing recommendations. I'll tell you what I'm running, not how much. Talk to a real doctor.
  • Before-and-after comparisons framed as motivation. I'm here for the record, not the reel.

Who should skip this

  • People looking for medical advice.
  • People under 30 who feel fine.
  • People who need every wellness project to have a clean happy ending.

The point of doing it in public is that later I can look back and see exactly what moved and what didn't, and so can the next guy who's 44 and wondering where to start. First real post is the baseline bloodwork. See you at the next one.
